The tournament will be held in the PvdA building in the centre of the city. There will be cheap consumptions available at the location (50ct for coffee, thee, soft drinks). On saturday and sunday, a free lunch will be available for the contestants. On saturday evening, we will eat pizza at the venue, after which people are welcome to hang around and play more go or other games.

From the direction Zwolle/Amersfoort/Utrecht/Amsterdam two trains arrive in Groningen per hour, 15 minutes past the hour and 5 minutes to the hour. There is also a train arriving 11:28 on Saturday from Leer (Ostfriesland, Germany), connecting for eg: Oldenburg (1h56m travel), Bremen (2h34m travel), Hamburg (3h42m travel), Hannover (4h07m travel). From Bremen and Oldenburg, there is also an express busline: http://www.publicexpress.de/
From the train station it is only about 700 meters walking distance to the playing venue, so taking a bus is not worth the effort, unless you have a lot of trouble walking (in that case: Line 5 towards Noorderstation, get off at stop Zuiderdiep/Schoolholm, see red line on the map below)
- Parking
-
Parking Centrum(dutch) is directly adjacent to the playing venue. Parking there costs about € 2,- per hour, € 15,- per day. Other parkings in the city center have similar prices.
On sunday, parking in the street is free. On saturday, you have to pay between 9.00 and 24.00, costing € 1,80 per hour, and you may only park for 30 minutes.
